The 2016 Ferrari Club of America International Annual Meet, hosted by the FCA Ohio Chapter will be a memorable event, taking us to the Columbus Hilton Polaris and Spa, the Brookside Golf and Country Club in Columbus and the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course for an elegant and exciting celebration.
The Meet will include:
The theme for this year's Meet is: Honoring the 275 and its 50th Anniversary. We are looking for a wide variety of 275s, so I want to specially invite 275 owners to bring their cars.
Founded in 1927, Brookside is nestled within 260 acres of pristine landscape that will be the perfect complement to our beautiful cars. The club features a beautiful tree lined, 18-hole golf course that has been host to many US Open Sectional Qualifiers as well as the 2012 Ohio Amateur. They will shut down the 18th hole and our cars will be placed adjacent to the 18th on the practice fairway, a very short walk to the Clubhouse.
We are excited to provide the ultimate track experience during the 2016 International Meet at the world famous Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in the rolling hills of Ohio with some of the most challenging corners anywhere. The grounds have been said to look more like a country club than a racetrack in deference to its lush green grass and beautiful trees. At 2.4-miles long with 15 turns, the circuit has earned its reputation over more than five decades of great racing among many of motorsport's legendary competitors. The iconic Goodyear Tower offers a great view of the track for those not driving.
Owned at one time by Jim Trueman , founder of Red Roof Inns, the track was purchased by Kim Green and Kevin Savoree of Green Savoree Racing in 2011. The pair has worked together since 1993 as team owners in CART and the Verizon IndyCar Series, winning four championships and three Indianapolis 500s. They also own and promote two street races, the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg and Honda Indy Toronto, so they know racetracks well.
In keeping with its reputation as 'the most competitive road course in the United States', the track underwent extensive capital improvements during the 2006 off-season. We are looking forward to your participation in our track venue which promises to provide a most exciting and rewarding driving experience for all of our FCA members!
